Editorial trust framework

How We Research Green Amethyst

Our goal is not to make prasiolite sound rarer, more powerful or more valuable than the evidence supports.

Source hierarchy

We prioritize recognized gemological institutions, mineral databases, peer-reviewed or technically credible sources, and conservative reference works. Retailer claims are not treated as proof of rarity, origin or treatment.

Evidence labels

We distinguish physical gemological facts from reasonable interpretation, market observations and belief-based symbolism. Where evidence is limited, we say so.

Treatment language

Most commercially available prasiolite is treated. We make treatment central to the explanation because it affects identity, rarity claims, disclosure and value perception.

Commercial independence

The current site is educational. Future monetization may be added, but commercial relationships must be disclosed and may not override editorial judgment.

Corrections

Readers can report possible errors through the contact page. Material corrections should be reviewed, dated and incorporated across related pages.
